What To Expect from Therapy

CBT is an evidence based and effective therapy for the treatment of anxiety and depression.  It is one of the main talking therapy treatments recommended by NICE (National Institute of Clinical Excellence.  The approach to treatment focuses on building your understanding of how your thought processes and behaviours can impact the way you feel and function in day to day life.  Sometimes we just end up doing what we need to do to get through the next hour or day but can end up feeling trapped in a vicious cycle and struggling to move forward.

         In therapy we will work as a team to:

  • Better understand yourself and the problem.

  • Identify the thought processes and behaviours that keep you feeling stuck. 

  •   Develop strategies to help you make positive changes to your mental health.   

  • Build your confidence and resilience to keep supporting your well-being beyond therapy.

You can be assured that you will not just be listened to, but given support and direction in a none- judgemental and compassionate manner.  


You set the goals and we will work together at your own pace towards meeting them.
